Parking at Games Time

Parking at Games Time

For venue and security reasons, there will be no parking at 2010 Olympic and Paralympic venues.

During the 2010 Olympic Winter Games (February 12 to 28, 2010), VANOC vehicles and motor coaches will operate 24 hours a day, and public transit will operate for longer hours than normal.  For that reason, there will be 24-hour on-street parking and stopping restrictions on many streets in Vancouver between February 4 to March 1, 2010.

For information on No Parking/Stopping restrictions during the Paralympic Winter Games, download the Host City Paralympic Transportation Plan PDF map here (PDF document PDF 862kb).

No Stopping 24 Hours (marked as solid orange lines on the Host City Olympic Transportation Plan map below) means that no on-street parking or loading and passenger drop-off zones will be available between February 4 and March 1, 2010, 24 hours a day.

Olympic Winter Games No Parking/Stopping areas throughout the city will be in effect through Monday March 1 (Eg. through to the morning of March 2nd).

No Parking/Stopping 24 hours (marked as dotted orange lines on the Host City Olympic Transportation Plan map) means that no on-street parking will be available between February 4 and March 1, 2010, 24 hours a day, but regular loading and passenger zones will be available.

All cars stopped/parked in restricted areas between February 4 to March 1, 2010 will be fined $100 and will be charged for an automatic tow.

These rush hour-like restrictions mean that drivers will need to find alternate loading and off-street parking in the parking lots, parkades or on side streets that are not affected by these temporary parking restrictions.

The Olympic Lanes and No Parking/Stopping areas will be in effect through until Monday March 1 (Eg. through to the morning of March 2nd).
