Bike Route Network
The City of Vancouver has a well-developed network of over 400 lane-kilometres of bike routes on local residential streets and on many major roads. Most of Vancouver’s cycling routes are on minor streets with less traffic and beautiful landscapes. Our cycling network is easy to figure out – even for the new cyclist – and it is perhaps the best way to get to know the city and our interesting and diverse neighbourhoods.
Some bike routes will be temporarily altered during the 2010 Winter Games to accommodate operational and security needs. View the City’s bike network during the 2010 Winter Games online, which includes closures and temporary bike routes.

Due to the waterfront location of some 2010 Winter Games venues and celebration sites, there will be some seawall closures and rerouting for pedestrians, cyclists and rollerbladers until the end of March 2010. All other seawall routes, including through Stanley Park, will remain fully open and accessible during this period.
