Bike Parking in 2010

bike rackSecure and safe bike parking makes it easier and more convenient to travel by bicycle. During the 2010 Winter Games, the City of Vancouver is providing secure and convenient bicycle parking near Olympic and Paralympic venues, LiveCity celebration sites, and at Olympic Village Station of the Olympic Line streetcar.

The City of Vancouver has hired BESTlink to external siteto provide staffed bike valet services where you can check your bike in, receive a ticket (similar to a coat check), and retrieve your bike with your ticket stub when you’re finished enjoying the festivities.

We want to make it easy for cyclists to ride their bikes to a venue and leave them there, secure in knowing that they will be there when they get back. Over 1200 bike parking spaces will be available throughout Vancouver, open for use from early in the morning until late at night. The bike valet service will be FREE for all users. Whether you are a spectator, a volunteer or worker, or just in the area to experience some of the excitement, ride down and use the free bike parking at any of the venues!
